SCHEDULE: Full-time

Registered Nurse Supervisor 

Burn Trauma ICU

Full-Time Nights (10 hr shifts)



POSITION SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Nursing Supervisor supports the management of a defined patient care area to provide a climate optimal for the provision of individualized, goal directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision, values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of  the Nursing Department and promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual, family or community.  The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for their practice and care coordination and is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices.


The Burn Trauma ICU Registered Nurse is an
integral part of our 30-bed, Level 1 Trauma Burn & Reconstructive Center of
Texas, part of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute. We provide high-level
comprehensive burn treatment, repair and reconstruction surgery, critical care
and outpatient services to patients from Collin County as well as parts of
Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana.  We are an amazing team

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  

Graduate of a Professional
School of Nursing, BSN required. MSN
preferred.

 

Licensure/certification/registration:        

Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted, National Specialty
Certification in practice area or plan to achieve within one year of hire.


Experience: 

2 years hospital nursing experience in area of clinical specialty


Special Skills & Qualifications:     

Ability to listen, interact and
communicate verbally and in writing.

Previously
demonstrated management potential preferred
