Job Description

CNA Instructors for Simulation Scenario Development

Part-Time

FULLY REMOTE POSITION. NO DIRECT TEACHING REQUIRED.

Background
CNA Simulations VR is building a suite of virtual simulation programs that develop and assess cognitive competencies in certified nursing assistant (CNA) programs. We seek to make it easier for CNA and other frontline workers to learn how to deliver care during the pandemic and beyond.

We are building a team of individuals with experience as educators for Certified Nursing Assistants who also love to imagine and develop complex scenarios. to become members of our content team. This role is responsible for writing scenarios, in alignment with our syllabus, to increase the library of cases. In some cases, you may partner with our engineering colleagues to develop and test products and assist CNA instructors in integrating simulations into their teaching strategies for clinical education.

Responsibilities

  • Write and/or mentor other authors to create original, branching scenario content. This includes writing scripts, editing scripts, and describing strategies for making scripts engaging. The goal is to create lifelike scenarios that challenge CNA students’ thinking.
  • Develop prebriefings, debriefings, instructors' guides and more

We are also looking for at least one individual who can help to refine the syllabus, in addition to developing content. omeone to manage the overall syllabus and develop content. For this individual, they will need to also do the following:

  • Stay current re. advances and innovations in curriculum development/implementation approaches.
  • Provide sales support in understanding and responding to customer questions.
  • Provide leadership in client implementations, develop best practices for virtual simulation use, train faculty and students, and use data to inform content development.
  • Assist in the shaping of analytic and performance evaluation strategies.

Other professional responsibilities

  • Maintain expert working knowledge of all products developed and stay abreast of the field of virtual reality clinical simulation to inform best practices and approaches to simulation development.
  • Maintain awareness of forthcoming features and enhancements and modify support materials to accommodate those enhancements.
  • Be a role model for others in promoting the company’s ethics and culture.
  • Assist your colleagues in obtaining their goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Nurse Educator (RN) with at least 2 years of experience teaching CNAs
  • Required: Teaching experience must include teaching and overseeing students during clinical rotations. Experience in clinical skills education is a must. Experience in clinical simulation encouraged
  • Excellent writing skills and a creative mind..
  • Knowledge of curricular design and performance evaluation
  • Comfort with building branching scenarios
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Strong creative thinking and writing experience preferred
  • Proficient in use of basic technology, with high willingness to adapt and learn new applications and technology as the business and the field evolves
