Job Description

$1000 Sign-On Bonus Certified Medication Aide/CNA - PT/Evening & Nights

Greenspring is looking for CMAs (Certified Medication Aides/Technicians) for our evening shifts.  Our CMAs support our residents in all aspects of  daily living, providing person centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident’s needs. A current CNA & CMA license for the state of VA is required for this role.


The Purpose of This Position:

1. Provides physical assistance with activities of daily living to include maintenance & restorative nursing care.

2. Promotes psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationships

3. Plans and facilitates social activities for the neighborhood residents

4. Assists with menu/snack selection and partners with Dining in serving to ensure adequate nutritional intake of all residents. Provides in-room dining experiences where requested. Assists residents with dining as needed.

5. Assures the resident’s room and neighborhood are kept tidy to minimize environmental hazards which may impact environmental safety

6. Effectively implements individualized resident care plans.

7. Maintains competency in the required job skills and knowledge.

8. Notifies clinical staff in a timely fashion of any change in a resident’s condition.

9. Administers medication per state specific regulations/training, where applicable

a. Administers resident medications according to Erickson policy & procedures

b. Maintains accurate medication administration records per standards of practice and Erickson policy.

c. Provides the Wellness Manager/Wellness Nurse and/or Clinical Manager an update of the resident’s ability to take medications, i.e., the need for crushing or extra fluids as needed.

10. Attend all required training as needed to satisfy community procedures and/or State requirements.

- Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents. strengths, preferences and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship and belonging. 

- Providing assistance with resident activities and programs.

- Working with the clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed in a timely matter.

- Administration of medication to residents.

  What you will need:
  • Current CNA certification for the state in which you are working.
  • Current certification for Medication Administration - per state requirements.
  • 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years Medication Administration experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
