Certified Medical Assistant - Villanova

Primary Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Assistant has the primary responsibility of assisting physicians and other providers with patient exams and procedures. The candidate will be expected to provide assistance with telephone reception, scheduling, and patient check-in and check-out services. Additional responsibilities include:
Monitor stock and supplies in all exam roomsMonitoring medical suppliesAssist with unpacking and putting away Patient insurance verificationCoordinate scheduling across practitionersMakes reminder calls to patients regarding appointmentsSends patient correspondenceDistributes lab results to physicians for reviewChecks messages on voicemail and handles prescription requests
Educational / Training Requirements
High school diploma or GED requiredMedical Assistant certification
Experience Requirements
Prior health care experience required. New graduates accepted. 6 months to 1 year experience in healthcare setting preferred.
