Weekend Administrative Coordinator & Lead Caregiver

The Weekend Administrative Coordinator, as part of the office team, assists with allareas of operations; including intakes, clients, caregivers, and scheduling. Thisindividual may directly interface with clients regarding originating service plans,scheduling and supervising care. Primary duties for the Weekend AdministrativeCoordinator include; Answers the phone and serves visitors by greeting, welcoming,and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of calls, messages, andvisitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.
QUALIFICATIONS:1. H.S. Diploma or GED required.2. Experience in home care or knowledge of the health care industry preferred.3. Requires proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MSExcel and Scheduling program.4. Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.5. Ability to carry out directions, read and write.6. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.7. Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication, leadership andorganizational skills and customer service techniques.8. Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well underpressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Take calls from Friday evening to Monday morning to handle emergencies,scheduling issues, and client referrals and intakes.2. Answers the telephone and may performs Intakes.3. Must take extensive note for call log and communicates clearly with the weekdayoffice staff on Monday morning about weekend report.4. May orient caregivers and maintains current caregiver files in accordance withpolicies and procedures.5. Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering orreferring inquiries appropriately.6. May visit prospective clients/clients after referrals are made to introduce FirstLightHome Care.7. Understands and adheres to established FirstLight Home Care policies andprocedures.8. May perform initial and ongoing in-home evaluation, caregiver introductions andsupervision of services.9. Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per FirstLight Home Carepolicy.10. Handles coordination of care for client services as they arise during assigned shifts.11. Reports changes in client condition to agency employees involved in client’s care.12. Maintains files for both Caregivers and Clients.13. Assists with weekly schedule and contacts care providers to communicate day today changes.14. May perform continuing and on-going caregiver training.15. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.16. Utilizes and maintains FirstLight Home Care computerized electronic platformsproficiently (ie. Teletrack, CRM program, etc)17. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Works indoors in FirstLight Home Care office and client homes and travels to/from clienthomes.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:Supervised by: Agency Manager or Administrator
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:-Ability to participate in physical activity.-Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved inphysical activity.-Heavy lifting.-Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
