The Medical Assistant works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by providing excellent patient-centered care and services within a dynamic team environment. The Medical Assistant communicates with patients and performs clinical services to ensure high quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Example duties include, but aren't limited to:
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains patient intake information.
• Performs clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, or EKGs.
• Effectively communicates with patient to determine their needs and provides education and resources.
•Ensures exam rooms are stocked, cleaned and set up for examinations and procedures.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification and phlebotomy certification preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of and experience with immunizations and desire to serve as full time Immunization MA. The candidate will be familiar with or willing to learn Adult and pediatric immunization schedules, immunization catch up schedule, as well as SDIR. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred .
Experience: A minimum of one year experience required.
