We Are Hiring
As a Medical Assiastant with St. Vincent's HealthCare-FL, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician at the growing Gastroenterology Office located in the Joe Adams Building in the heart of Southside Jacksonville,FL
Schedule; FT Day Primarily 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, may vary with business needs
+ Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
+ Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
+ Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
+ Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
What you will need:

+ Required Credentials:
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date.
+ Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
+ National Medical Assistant (MA) Certification - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NAHP, NCCT and NHA are acceptable certification sites.
+ Preferred Credential:
+ Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred. Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.
+ High School diploma or GED required
+ 2 Years MA experience preferred
+ Specialty Office Experience preferred
