**We are looking for a Medical Assistant for Prompt Care at Queen of the Valley!**
**Location:** Napa, CA
**Schedule:** On Call / Per Diem
**Shift:** 10-hour Days
Under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner, the Prompt Care Medical Assistant works cooperatively on the clinic team to support patient care by coordinating and performing all duties associated with patient visits (e.g. preparing for and assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures). Performs duties under moderate supervision. Additionally, the Medical Assistant anticipates providers' needs and patient needs.
+ Able to set up oxygen equipment
+ Able to prioritize effectively and utilize good judgement in making decisions
+ Able to assist with vaginal exams, remove sutures/staples, irrigate wounds, apply steri-strips, and lead monitoring.
+ Computer skills
+ Familiar with medical terminology and software to obtain lab reports
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Interpersonal skills
+ Customer service skills
+ High school graduate or equivalent
+ Certificate of Completion from a medical assisting school.
**License / Certification:** Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification - American Heart Association
**PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Certification as a Medical Assistant or CNA
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills
+ Experience with electronic medical records
