**Work Hours/Shift:**
Full Time
**You Will Be Responsible For:**
+ Demonstrates the ability to assess and provide the necessary care to all patients under the direct supervision of the physician/advanced practitioner.
+ Coordinates pre and post-operative procedures as required by specialty.
+ Assists with in-office procedures as needed or required by specialty and obtains appropriate consent for procedure as required.
+ Obtains Insurance Authorizations as needed for necessary medications.
+ Schedules surgical cases and pre-admit testing appointments as required per specialty.
+ Demonstrates critical thinking to facilitate patient care needs.
+ Consistently provides appropriate patient education.
+ Ensures maximum patient flow when working with the patient schedule while providing quality care.
+ Ensures patient needs are met when accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
+ Performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians/nurses when needed as required by specialty.
+ Maintain a clean, fully stocked exam and procedure room with 100% compliance regarding cleaning and sterilization.
**What You Will Need:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of Medical Assisting Program
+ Certified with National Agency
+ BLS required from American Heart Association
+ 2 years of experience preferred
**Job Summary:**
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for chart management and assisting with appointment scheduling when required. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. May be assigned to specific medical specialty to help with patient care related to but not limited to surgical patients.
