Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ Residential Assistant- Sign-On Bonu

As a Residential Assistant, you will work in a residential group home setting for adults with developmental disabilities. A Residential Assistant is responsible for personal care, medication administration, behavioral support and transportation of 3-4 individuals living in a group home setting depending on the needs of the location.
Direct Support Professional Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct Support Professionals are responsible for but not excluded to the following duties:
Providing personal Care to individuals as needed (to include assistance with toileting, bathing, clothing, feeding, transfers, etc.).
Behavioral Support (to include working with potential physical and verbal outbursts/ aggressiveness).
Medication Administration (must be able to pass Medication Administration training).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed.
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, traverse, kneel, bend from the waist, etc., as needed.
Must be able to communicate verbally, visually, and audibly. Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
Valid Driver's License with 2 yrs. of consecutive driving experience.
Acceptable criminal background.
Ability to pass pre-employment Drug Screen/ Physical (PPD, TB). Direct Support Professionals will have the opportunity to:

Actively protect and uphold the human rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Facilitate relationship building between individuals and community through activities based on individuals interests and hobbies
Actively search for new opportunities and interests to introduce to individuals to experience life in their homes and communities.
Assist individuals in development of appropriate life skills in a way that promotes independence and autonomy.
