Illinois Vein Specialists, SC is expanding our clinical staff and has an immediate need for (1) additional full time Medical Assistant.Illinois Vein Specialists, SC offers applicants a competitive hourly wage and extraordinary benefits including BCBS major medical and dental.

Kelly BanksPracticeAdministrator                                                                                                                             REQUIREMENTS:Medical Assistant:The medical assistant works in tandem with the physician(s), sclerotherapy nurse(s), front desk staff, and business office staff to provide patients with excellent medical care in the most respectful and courteous manner. Make sure that all patients who come to Illinois Vein Specialists, S.C. are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Always remain friendly and polite whether on the phone or in an exam room with a patient. Work as a team with physician(s), nursing, business office and front desk staff.
SKILLS:1.   Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and day-to-day decision-making.2.   Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.3.   Skill in preparing/maintaining medical records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.4.   Skill in operating a windows-based computer.5.   Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and using a multi-line telephone system.
ABILITIES:1.   Ability to speak clearly and concisely. 2.   Ability to read, understand and follow oral & written instruction.3.   Ability to sort / file data by alphabetic or numeric systems.4.   Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with IVS staff, referral physicians and their staff, IVS patients, and IVS vendor relationships.5.   Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.6.   Ability to read, interpret and apply corporate policies and procedures.7.   Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.8.   Ability to communicate clearly to and interact effectively with IVS personnel at all levels;9.   Ability to maintain quality control standards;10. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
YOU WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE IN:1.   Vascular disease;2.   various treatment options for varicose and spider veins;3.   EVLT, AP, CST & TST procedures;4.   appointment scheduling guidelines;5.   business office procedures;6.   medical terminology and coding;7.   and common safety procedures and precautions to establish / maintain a safe work environment.
