We are currently seeking compassionate people to join our talented team as Certified Nursing Assistants. As a Certified Nursing Assistant with Touchmark, you will enrich lives every day by providing residents in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods with the highest level of dignity and care. You will have the daily opportunity to distinguish yourself by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members! This is a Casual float position, AM and PM shifts available, 4-20 hours/week, alternating weekends and holidays in our Assisted Living neighborhood. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and compassionate, and will: Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Have completed a state certified CNA course Be willing to obtain med tech license in house. Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment Provide assistance and emotional support to residents using the Best Friend’s Approach to dementia care Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors Essential Functions: Ability to read and write English in order to follow and give oral and written instructions; Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, moving equipment, and performing other related tasks; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; Performs basic health care for residents according to CNA standards of practice Position Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to the following: The health, safety, and needs of the residents must always come first; Assist with bathing. Escort residents to and from their homes to activities / dining room; Take and document vital signs and weights; Assist in dressing /undressing residents; Perform medication assistance for residents after appropriate training with Unit Coordinator; Answer all call lights as soon as possible to ensure safety of residents. Attend regular in-service education to increase knowledge. Perform all other duties, as requested by supervisor(s), with a positive attitude.
