Job Description

IVF FLORIDA Reproductive Associates (IVF FLORIDA), Florida's premiere and largest provider of infertility services, is seeking the talents of a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to fill a full-time position at our multi-physician, multi-site practice in Margate, Florida. This is an exciting and challenging position with a practice that continues to grow.
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting our physicians and nurses while providing a high level of patient service. This is a full-time, day shift position and with required participation in weekend rotations.
General Responsibilities
+ Checking in patients and completing the appropriate forms as indicated.
+ Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
+ Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurses.
+ Record medical histories and prepare patients for exams.
+ Provide instructions to patients as instructed by physicians and nurses.
+ Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required.
+ Cleaning, preparing and restocking the patient unit after discharges for the following days' procedures.
+ Prepare charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is completed.
+ Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to appointment.
+ Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
+ Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc).
The ideal candidate must have a minimum two years of experience as an Medical Assistant in women's Health and/or OBGYN. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current BLS certification is required.
Candidates must also possess a strong patient service and team orientation, excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations. Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc) is required.
