Our growing Primary care office is looking for a is a Certified MA to support our busy providers

Schedule: Monday:8am-6pm; Tuesday: 8am-6pm; Wednesday: 8am-12pm; Thursday: 8am-6pm; Friday: 8am-5pm

Location: Braintree and Quincy

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice
Greet, assess and interview patients
File paperwork, lab slips
Obtain and updates past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs
Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint, and brief interrogation of complaint
Act as a liaison between doctor and patient
Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by medical staff
Anticipate needs of patients.
Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure
Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties
Maintain patient care areas
Stocking and ordering of supplies as needed, and maintaining clean exam rooms
Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
Maintains patient confidentiality
Participate in training and skills development of new medical assistants
Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures and more.
Other duties as assigned such as covering front desk and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of HIPAA.
Must have current medical assistant certification
*1 year of current clinical experience
* Preferred experience in primary care and pediatric
Knowledge of obtaining prior Authorizations for Medications.
Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
*Excellent telephone communication skills.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Ability to exercise patience and listening skills in stressful situations.
*Experience with electronic medical record
*Excellent computer skills

Skills and Abilities:
Skills utilizing computer systems experience.
Ability to draw blood/phlebotomy.
Ability to interface with a variety of personalities involving a variety of situations.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff and management.
Knowledge of various medical technologies and equipment associated with out-patient healthcare.
